Springs Valley Blackhawk Brigade Color Guard
FRENCH LICK, Ind. - Being in the Springs Valley Color Guard this season has been a great learning experience when it comes down to teamwork and friendship. So far, this is one of the best seasons for the guard. With all the dedication and effort, this year’s color guard is undefeated. This year’s members consist of 14 outstanding girls.
This year’s oldest members are three sophomores; Tiffany U. (in her third year), Alexis F. (in her first year of marching and the funny one of the guard), and Lacy R. (in her fourth year marching and also our oldest member). With all their hard work, they make a good impression on the guard.
Our biggest section in the guard is the outstanding freshman! There are five members including; Morgan U., Nichole P., Christina N., Mariah A., and Kirsten G.. What inspired these girls to join was watching the band in the past and seeing all their dedication and hard work.
Some of our strongest members of the guard are our eighth graders. There are three girls which include; Francesca W., Lucy W., and Ashley A. Their favorite thing about this season was that they made all kinds of friends and being a young guard and being undefeated.
Our youngest members of the guard are our seventh graders. There are three girls and they worked their best to try to be as good as the veterans and have done an awesome job at it. They are Courtney P., Brittany M., and Olivia W. Their favorite part of the show has to be the third number because of all the excitement.
Now our most important member of the guard is Laura Aylsworth. If it were not for her, we would not be the guard we are now. She put all of her time in to make this guard the best that they could be. Also, she even sacrifices the time she can have spending with her sons. She is the best guard instructor ever.
